Our hayride and pumpkin adventure

What better thing could you do on a fall Saturday morning than go play on some wooden playground stuff, ride on the bumpiest hayride ever (poor Lauren--see below), and pick out pumpkins?

We met our friends and their kids bright and early (well, early if you don't have kids) yesterday to do exactly that. We visited the Windmill Farm Market, played for a while, looked at some interesting animals (as in maybe not the cleanest), and then went on the longest, muddiest hayride I've ever been on. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome. The tractor went through huge mud holes (weren't we having a drought?) and down big hills and everything. The kids loved it. But our friend Lauren, the poor thing, is 8 months pregnant. Mental note: no hayrides when pregnant.

Halfway through the ride, we jumped off the wagon to pick out pumpkins. Liam was SO excited because he's been wanting a pumpkin FOREVER.

And, of course, we had to make all the kids (sans Gavin, who is a little too small for a group photo opp) do a cheesy/adorable group shot. Awww.

In the words of Dave..."what did we do before we had kids?"
